Police catch women wearing jewelry they stole

Mt. Juliet police say they caught two local women wearing jewelry they stole from the Mt. Juliet Walmart Tuesday afternoon

According to Mt. Juliet Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Tyler Chandler, Denshia Majors, 27, and Reshetia Stroud, 29, both of Mt. Juliet, were arrested and booked into the Wilson County Jail at 1 p.m., charged with shoplifting.

Chandler said they were spotted by Walmart’s loss prevention staff and the police were called. They were apprehended shortly after.

Chandler said the women were “wearing some of the stolen jewelry” when police found them.

“More jewelry was located inside their pockets,” said Chandler.
