Mt. Juliet Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Tyler Chandler said it was around 9 p.m. when they received a 911 call notifying there was a man passed out in an SUV on Sunnymeade Drive. He said police responded and found the SUV going the wrong way on Belinda Parkway, “head-on at other traffic.”
He said there was a short, low speed pursuit and an officer deployed a spike system near the intersection of Belinda Parkway and N. Mt. Juliet Road. He said this was successful and three of the SUV’s tires were deflated.
Chandler said the driver, Ronald Lambert, 59, of Madison, Tenn. came to a stop at the Exxon station on N. Mt. Juliet Road. He was arrested and booked into the Wilson Count Jail, charged with Evading Arrest, Reckless Endangerment and Driving Under the Influence.
