Louise Hulan Zornes
Services for Mrs. Zornes were conducted July 22, 2009 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3191 W. Old Murfreesboro Road, Lebanon by Mike Johnson. Interment was in Stewart Cemetery in Ashland City. Visitation with the family was Tuesday, 2-8 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home and Wednesday after 10 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall.
Mrs. Zornes, 81, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the University Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Katherine Barnes Hulan. She was a cook at Lebanon High School for many years and also cooked for the Easter Seal Camp. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She was preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Paul Estes Zornes and brother, Granville Hulan.
Survivors include: children, Wanda (Tommy) Gibbons of Lebanon, Vicki (Dennis) Sullivan of Nashville, Diane (Ellis) Clark of Cabot, Ark. and Kimberly Tuttle of Lebanon; grandchildren, Jacqueline Pryor of Lebanon, Neil and Robyn Clark of San Francisco, Calif., Tyler Montgomery and Dalton Holt of Lebanon; great-granddaughter, Isabella Pryor of Lebanon; sisters, Vera Halpin, Mary Freeman and Robbie “Sissy” Jenkins, all of Nashville; and brother, Robert “Buck” Hulan of Hendersonville.
F. W. “Dub” Creasman
Services for Mr. Creasman were conducted July 21, 2009 at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet by Dr. Craig Goff. Interment with military honors was in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family was Monday, 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Creasman, 84, of Lebanon, passed away July 18, 2009. A native of Hixson, Tenn., he was a member of Cooks United Methodist Church and of the Hixson Masonic Lodge #727 F&AM for 55 years. He was a veteran of WWII and retired from State Farm Insurance Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Wesley and Nellie Bowman Creasman; sister, Elizabeth Ann Nale; and grandson, Phillip Brandon Hance.
Survivors include: his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Jollay Creasman; daughter, Debra Creasman (Ric) Phillips of Mt. Juliet; son, David (Deborah) Creasman; granddaughter, Leah Creasman; brother-in-law, Ernest (Jean) Jollay; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the Friendship Sunday School Class.
David Coggins
Services for Mr. Coggins were conducted July 22, 2009 at Wilson County Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors was in Wilson County Memorial Park. Visitation with the family was Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, noon until the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Coggins, 92, passed away July 19, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Badin, N.C. and was a member of First Baptist Church Lebanon. He served in the 1st Infantry Division during World War II, landing on D Day. He retired from the federal government.
He was preceded in death by wife of 61 years, Christine Marks Coggins; parents, John and Mary Elizabeth Coggins; brothers, Paul, J.C. and James Coggins; and sister, Evelyn McGill.
Survivors include: daughters, Sharon (Mark) Hurwitz and Sandra Coggins, both of Lebanon; granddaughter, Susie Hurwitz of Chicago, Ill.; and sister, Jennie Coggins of Badin.
Raymond Malone
Services for Mr. Malone were conducted July 24, 2009 at Sellars at Mt. Juliet by Bro. Danny Sellars. Interment was in Leeville Cemetery. Visitation with the family was Thursday, 4-8 p.m. and Friday, 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Malone, 81, of Mt. Juliet, passed away July 22, 2009. He was a member of the Mt. Juliet Church of God. He played baseball for the Leeville Red Sox. He was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and retired from DuPont.
He was preceded in death by parents, Grady and Lucille Denton; brother-in-law, Bud Sircy; and uncle, Clem Malone.
Survivors include: wife of 58 years, Jean Collins; brother, Larry “L.G.” Malone; sister, Mary Jo Sircy; children, Ginger (Gary) Dorris and Vicki and Wendell Malone; grandchildren, Ashley Hickerson, Gregory Dorris, Kelly and Drew Malone and Josh Kershaw; great-grandchildren, Bailey Rollins, Erik and Cory Roberson and Ethan Kershaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Bobby and Jimmy Sircy, Gregory Dorris, Drew Malone, Mike Hickerson and Josh Kershaw.
Ruth Arlene Judkins
Services for Mrs. Judkins were conducted July 26, 2009 at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon by Bro. Gary Miller and Bro. Howl Todd. Interment was in Bates Cemetery in Watertown. Visitation with the family was Saturday, 2-8 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. until service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Judkins, 65, of Watertown, passed away July 23, 2009. She served as a nurse in the US Army in the Vietnam era and worked as a plant tech at Fortune Plastics.
She was preceded in death by parents, James and Ruth Lolley Coperale and son-in-law, Herman Witt.
Survivors include: husband of 25 years, Jerry Judkins; children, Wendy (Mike) McManus, Rachel Witt, Vincent Basey and Rebecca (James) Elliott; sister, Lorie (Danny) Sferruzzi; brothers, Dusty (Tina) Ashton and Charlie Moorenovich; grandchildren, Michael Phares, Joseph, Savannah and Valorie Heflin, Alisha Bates and Josh and Ashley Witt; and great-grandchildren, Cherish and Gabriel Phares and Makayle Gomez.
Barbara Jean Parker
Services for Mrs. Parker were conducted July 18, 2009 at Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Kenneth Massey. Interment was in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family was Friday, 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, noon until the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Parker, 74, of Madison, passed away July 15, 2009.
She was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Estelle Merryman.
Survivors include: sons, Kenny (Cherie), Scott (Lori) and Tony (Allison) Parker; grandchildren, Nicholas (Colleen) Brent, Christa, Jagger, Lauren and Lindy Parker; great-grandchild, Holden Parker; and brother, Bill (Dot) Merryman.
