Judith Lee Johnson Ochoa
Services for Mrs. Ochoa were conducted June 14, 2009 at Haisley-Hobbs Funeral Home in Ft. Pierce, Fla. Visitation with the family was Sunday, 2 p.m. until service.
Mrs. Ochoa, 68, of Lebanon, passed away June 6, 2009.
She was preceded in death by parents, Dewey and Frances Hughes Johnson and sister, Tina Anderson.
Survivors include: children, Kim (John) Dickens, Lisa Blackmon, Terri Blackmon, and Kline Blackmon Jr.; father of children: Kline Blackmon Sr.; sister, Perky (Jerry Don) Yarbrough; grandchildren, James and Jeffrey Dickens; and nephew, Layne Yarbrough.
Sellars Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
Mary Helen Boyd Burch
Services for Mrs. Burch were conducted June 9, 2009 at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon. A private graveside service followed in Tullahoma, Tenn. Visitation with the family was Tuesday, 10 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Burch passed away June 6, 2009 at home in Lebanon. Born in Tullahoma in November 1919, where she grew up and attended public schools, she then went to Tennessee College for Women where she excelled in academics, played sports and was a class officer. She later transferred to Middle Tennessee State College where she again excelled and met her future husband, Billy Burch of Bruceton, Tenn.
Receiving her undergraduate degree from MTSC with a teaching degree, she taught school in various cities where she lived. When her husband joined the Navy as a fighter pilot, they were secretly married and she went with him on training assignments around the country until he was shipped overseas. She and her family later relocated to Lebanon where their son had attended Castle Heights Military Academy.
She was active in the First Methodist Church in Lebanon, the Lebanon Country Club, Castle Heights Alumni Association, Cumberland College, Big Band Dance activities throughout the Metro area and all Cracker Barrel Restaurant activities. She enjoyed tennis, bridge and dancing and gave months and years of her time caring for and nursing others. She devoted herself to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Anne H. Boyd and her husband of 66 years, Billy Burch.
Survivors include three sons, Richard L. Burch of Hendersonville, Tenn.; William F. (Jerry) Burch of Birmingham, Ala., and James B. (Therese) Burch of Leesburg, Va.; five grandchildren, Charles L. (Jennifer) Burch of Atlanta, Ga.; Bradley (Jody) Burch of Richmond, Va.; Ryan F. Burch of Birmingham, Ala., Jessica Burch of Leesburg, Va.; Leigh (Sean) Scott of Purcellville, Va.; seven great-grandchildren and dear friends Harold and Rose Pickel.
Jimmy P McGee
Services for Mr. McGee were conducted June 7, 2009 at Hermitage Funeral Home by Dr. Craig Goff. Interment was in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family was Saturday, 4-8 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. until service time.
Mr. McGee, 74, of Mt. Juliet, passed away June 4, 2009. He retired from DuPont after 30 years of service.
Survivors include: his wife of 52 years, Sue McGee; son, Jimmy R. (Terri) McGee; granddaughter, Mandy McGee; one brother; and four sisters.
Janeann Walburn Walker
Graveside services for Mrs. Walker were conducted June 10, 2009 in Wilson County Memorial Gardens by Rev. Caryl Strange.
Mrs. Walker, 45, of Mt. Juliet, passed away June 6, 2009. She was a member of Living Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by father, Charles Edward Walburn; and brother, Craig Walburn.
Survivors include: husband, Donald Walker of Mt. Juliet; mother, Rebecca Wells Smith of Portsmouth, Ohio; son, Dameon South of Colorado; and brothers, Tom Walburn of Milton, Tenn. and Scott and Jeff Walburn, both of Portsmouth.
Bond Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Will T. Woodard
Services for Mr. Woodard were conducted June 14, 2009 at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon by Bro. Gordon Lee. Interment was in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family was Friday, 2-8 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Woodard, 78, of Lebanon passed away June 11, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Frances Nixon Woodard; brothers, Leslie and Alton Woodard and sister, Lillie Hoar.
Survivors include: son, Keith (Dianne) Woodard; grandsons, Ryan (Jennifer) Dickens and Chad Dickens; great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Luke and Matthew; sister-in-laws, Lucille Woodard and Marie Brewington; brother-in-law, Johnny Gulley and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Russell Woodard, Joe Baird, Barry Woodard, Ryan Dickens, Chad Dickens, Casey Woodard and Rusty Woodard.
The family has a special thank you for the staff and faculty at Westmoreland Care and Rehab.
Robert Barnett Traugh
Services for Mr. Traugh were conducted June 17, 2009 at Bond Memorial Chapel by Rev. Billie Friel. Graveside services with military honors were conducted June 18 at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Visitation with the family was Wednesday, 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Traugh, 66, of Mt. Juliet, passed away June 10, 2009. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rita Cox Traugh and wife, Victoria Cope Traugh.
Survivors include: sons, Tom Larkin of Nashville and Todd Larkin of Mt. Juliet; daughter, Laura Traugh Oubre of Kingsport, Tenn.; brothers, Roger Traugh and
Scott Hamilton, both of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Robbie, Josh, Jordan, Tyler, Matthew and Hunter.
Cynthia Lynn Huggins
Services for Mrs. Huggins were conducted June 12, 2009 at Hermitage Funeral Home by Chaplain Pete Volpitta. Interment was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family was Wednesday and Thursday, 4-8 p.m.
Mrs. Huggins, 50, of Hermitage, passed away June 9, 2009.
She was preceded in death by father, Monroe Huggins and sister, Judy Woodard.
Survivors include: mother, Juanita Huggins; sisters, June (Jim) Williams, Mary Vining and Donna (Eddie) Stanton; brother, Jack (Nancy) Huggins; and a host of nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Pallbearers: Rick, Tony and Ronnie Taylor, Michael Washington, Terry Cowart, Ray Olivas, William Jeronimo and Edwin Matias.
Deborah Lynn Johnson
Services for Mrs. Johnson were conducted June 20, 2009 at Bond Memorial Chapel by Rev. Chuck Groover. Interment was in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family was Saturday, 9 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Johnson, 54, of Mt. Juliet, passed away June 11, 2009
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Thomas and Hazel Wood Wilson.
Survivors include: her husband, David Johnson; son, Michael (Jamie) Johnson; daughter, Nicole (Scott) Little of Gallatin; sister, Brenda Scott of San Diego, Calif.; and grandchildren, Cameron and Michael Johnson.
