The Lebanon Democrat was founded in 1888 and continues to be the primary communicator of news in Wilson County. The Lebanon Democrat is published daily, Tuesday through Saturday and is traditionally an award winning newspaper. Deadlines For Retail Advertising All copy slicks, layouts and artwork must be prepared in time to deliver to the production department by the following schedule of time: Standard: 2 days prior to running The earlier an ad is turned in, the more effectively an ad can be displayed. Proofs Proofs will be submitted on advertising, if requested. Proofs are intended for checking prices, grammar and correctness of layout. They are not intended for re-write purposes. A composition charge will be made for changes in style or copy after advertising has been set according to the original instructions. Errors: When proofs are submitted, merchants assume all responsibility for errors in advertisement provided corrections are made as specified on proofs. In the event of a typographical error offering merchandise at less than the proper price, the newspaper will furnish a letter to the advertiser (to be posted in the store) stating the correct price. The newspaper can assume no liability in the event merchandise is sold at any incorrect price. Position No position is sold on a guaranteed basis, however, every effort will be made to place your advertisement as requested. Tearsheets You are allowed six free tear sheets of any advertisement. All extra tearsheets will be charged at a rate of 10 cents each. Requests for extra copies must be made when the advertisement is submitted for publication. If tearsheets are desired, they should be requested in advance.
