MT. JULIET — Mt. Juliet breezed to a dominant 79-25 triumph over visiting Siegel on Friday night.

The Lady Bears led 27-4 following the first quarter and 47-7 at halftime as they improved to 3-2.

Tondrianna Davis dropped in six three-pointers in leading the Lady Bears with 27 points while Reghan Grimes racked up 22 and Emma Palmer 16. Nevaeh Majors scored seven while Ryleigh Osborne hit an early three and Taylor Pruitt and Gentry Houston each had two.

No one scored in double figures for Siegel.

After traveling to Nashville to take on Overton on Monday, Mt. Juliet will open District 9-AAA action at home at 6:30 p.m. Friday against Lebanon.

MJCA turns it on in fourth to overtake

MT. JULIET — Mt. Juliet Christian climbed from behind to defeat Madison Academy 40-35 Thursday night.

The Lady Knights led 11-5 following the first quarter. The teams played evenly through the second and third periods before Mt. Juliet Christian closed with a 19-9 fourth.

Amelia Lyons led the Lady Saints with 21 points while Megan Blackwell scored six, Bethany Lyons four, Destiny Moser three and Josie Bly, Abigail Eastin and Felicity Keen two apiece as Mt. Juliet Christian pulled even at 3-3.

Sara Adaela led the Lady Knights with 12 points.

Mt. Juliet Christian opened District 4-II-A action Tuesday at Friendship Christian’s Bay Family Sportsplex.
