Born March 10, 1925, in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late William Forrest Tripp and Josie Mai Stewart Tripp.

Irene Tripp Harris, 99, of the Leeville community, Lebanon, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Quality Center.
Born March 10, 1925, in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late William Forrest Tripp and Josie Mai Stewart Tripp.
She retired from Lux Clock and was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Everett Harris; son-in-law, Rodger Midgett; step-daughter, Gladys Hester; two brothers, Floyd and Gordon Tripp; five sisters, Ruth Tripp, Frances Travis, Louella Harris, Kathleen Kohn and Annie Carey Hall.
She is survived by her three children, Carolyn (Henry) Lane, Patricia Midgett and Charlotte (Rob) Hyde; four grandchildren, Curtis (Amy) Lane, Russell (Lisa) Lane, Brian (Krys) Midgett and Luke (Olivia) Hyde; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, at noon from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Duckett officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
